Please tell about your first publication – what was it, when, how you felt when it happened, problems you may have had, etc.
My, first publication was my book of poems titled ‘Emotional Feelings,’ with Red Lead Books. I was so happy, but there was not enough publicity for it. It was up to me to do it. It’s not easy.

Please tell about the most memorable moments in your writing career.
There are a lot. One is writing children’s books with my drawings in each book. I want all of my books to put smiles on everyone’s face. It warms my heart.

Have you won any awards?
For me, the biggest award I could receive is the warm feelings I get when I see a big smile on a child’s face.

Have you been on a ‘best seller’ list?
No.  This is because I am not well-known! I advertise a lot on Facebook and Twitter. I also do press releases. I am working at it but it’s hard work and slow going.

What problems have you encountered in your career and how did you deal with them?
I hit brick walls with my writing,  and sometimes want to quit. But, I keep going anyway. Nick, my husband, has been by my side all the way, and gives me courage. How I love him for that, and so much more.

What genre do you most often write?  Children’s Books Fiction

What other genres have you written?  Non-Fiction

What would you tell an aspiring writer who asks you for assistance?
I’d tell them I’d love to help them, or provide names of authors who can.

What advice would you give to all up-and-coming writers?
Welcome aboard! If you need any help, please feel free to email me. Patience and Time is what it takes.

Please tell about your other activities.
Besides my writing, I spend time on Facebook, play pool, workout, and swim. I’m always looking for a place where I can read to children.

What is the name of your current project?
My current project is a book titled “Trapped in a Dream,” based on the true story of Boston Blacky.

What is the release date?
My target date is Oct 17 2012. It’s a birthday surprise for my husband, Nick, since it’s about him.

Please provide details of your upcoming blog tour, book tour, and/or book-signing.
I am doing a Book Presentation for the residents of the complex where I live.

Is this work a stand-alone or part of a series?  Stand-alone

Do you have any project(s) planned for the future?  Yes

Please provide some details of the project(s).
I’d like to do more books in ‘Jonick the Alien’ series. Then, perhaps a novel.

What would I like to see happen in my career as a writer?
I am a writer just trying to get things out to the public. Whether it would be, a smile on a child’s’ face or things to help you see what is happening in our world or had happened.
